Ingredients : ( 2 servings)
- 500 g boneless and skinless chicken thighs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ cup chicken frying mix
- ½ cup water
- Oil for frying
Sauce :
- ½ cup starch syrup
- 1 tsp gochujang
- ¼ cup ketchup
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- ⅛ cup water
- 1 tbsp red pepper powder
- 1 tbsp chopped garlic
Recipe :
1 – Cut the chicken into small horizontal pieces then season them with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
2- In a large bowl, mix the chicken frying mix and the water. Then add the chicken to the batter and coat well.
3 – In a pot, bring the frying oil to 170°C (340°F). Add the chicken piece by piece, fry until golden brown then set aside.
4- In a wok, add all the sauce ingredients, stir and let it simmer.
5 – When the sauce starts to thicken, add the chicken pieces. Mix until coated evenly. Serve immediately.
