If you like Tteokbokki, you will enjoy this creamy twist on the original recipe.
Ingredients : (2-3 servings)
– 150g Tteobokki Rice Cakes
– 1/2 broccoli
– 10 mini sausages
– 1 tsp of crushed garlic
– 100ml heavy cream
– 100ml milk
– 1 tsp gochujang
– 1 tsp red pepper powder
– Salt & pepper
– 2 Cheddar cheese slices
1 – In a bowl, soak the rice cakes in room temperature water and set aside.
2 – Chop the broccoli, and slightly cut the sausages.
3 – Add a little bit of oil on a frying pan and start cooking the sausages and broccoli on medium heat for 5 minutes.
4 – Remove the rice cakes from the water. Add them with the garlic to the pan. Stir well and cook for 1 minute.
5 – Pour the milk and heavy cream in the pan. When it starts boiling add the gochujang and red pepper powder. Mix to dissolve and lower the heat. Let it simmer until the sauce gets a creamy consistency.
6 – Season with salt and pepper. Add 2 cheddar cheese slices and stir.
7 – Serve immediately and enjoy.
